Horror of Horrors, most calamitous of calamities. After six futile attempts the Parliamentarian report was filched. It is in comprehensible that anyone would perpetrate such a reprehensible dastardly deed. - Never fear. Immediately upon ascertaining the purloinment of the precious document, sparing no expense, the internationally acclaimed company from Goth, MN. FOUI (Finders of Useless/ Useful Information) was forthwith and summarily retained. - Employing the latest psychoanalytical methods, the document was quickly located. It seems that the young lad in Holland with his finger in the dyke needed a potty break. The report neatly filled the hole. - Shortly before this assembly of Lions was convened, a special courier from the newly merged FedEx and UPS, now known as FedUp, delivered this priceless assimilation of gobbledygook. - Having dispensed with the nonsense, lets get on with the serious business. I move the adoption of this report PDG Larry, second by PDG Mike Vos. MC.

Multiple Convention Report by Lion Darwin Mathwig, that a committee was established to investigate the possibility of hosting the 2011 Multiple Convention. Now that Mankato has completed another Hotel down town attached to the convention center, along with the Holiday Inn, we have the capability to host the Multiple Convention. They have met with Beth from the Mankato Convention Bureau . He presented several preliminary proposals for the district to off set the registration fees, etc. the convention has offered us a $2,500 grant . PID Maynard commented on this great opportunity, that in the past we have not had the capability in 5M-2 to host a convention, he encouraged delegates to vote in favor of hosting the convention, when it comes up for a vote later at this convention. He introduced Beth from the Convention Bureau for her presentation. Lion Duane Mathwig, called for a vote. A motion by Lion Darwin to propose hosting the 2011 Multiple Convention, second by PDG Tom Ferleman. MC.
Campaign Sight First II Report by PDG Wayne Neubarth, the campaign has been going on for almost three years, June 30 th is the end of the campaign. As of February 1, 2008 the International total of Campaign Sight First II stands at $136,413,913.00, the goal is to reach $150 million. Our District total is $294,344.68, which is about $56,000.00 short of our goal of $350,000.00. With 5 months to go and the activities this weekend the donations still coming I think we will be over $300,000.00. I think we will meet our goal, we just need to push a little harder these last 5 months. We have 7 model clubs in our District, they are Carver, Chaska, Cologne , Faribault , Hamburg , Victoria and Waterville . These 7 clubs account for $170,400.00 of our District goal. There are still a number of clubs that have not made a commitment as of yet. Clubs have 5 years to complete their pledges. He thanked his group coordinators for their help and support.
